This approach provides direct access to the pineal and suprapineal regions, the basal surface of the temporal and occipital lobes, and inferior access to the atrium and occipital horn. It is ideal for tumors such as hemangioblastomas, cavernomas, and metastases, minimizing brain retraction and preserving critical vascular structures.
