Álvaro Campero MD

Dr. Alvaro Campero is a neurosurgeon based in Tucumán, Argentina. He currently serves as Head of the Neurosurgery Service at the Padilla Hospital in Tucumán and as Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Tucumán.

He completed his training in Neurosurgery at the Hospital de Clínicas of the University of Buenos Aires. He later completed a Fellowship in Neuroanatomy in Gainesville, United States, at the Brain Institute, under the direction of Prof. Albert Rhoton. In addition, he completed his training in Microsurgery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the Beneficencia Portuguesa Hospital, and in Skull Base Surgery in the city of Tubinguen, Germany, at the Neurochirurgie Uniklinik Tubinguen.

His main area of ​​interest is Skull Base Surgery, being a reference in Latin America. His academic life is intense, permanently giving international courses and conferences. He is a member of the Neurosurgical Anatomy Committee of the WFNS.

He has made numerous national and international scientific publications, with more than 100 works published in PubMed. In addition, he is the author of books and chapters in the specialty, and a reviewer of various international scientific journals related to Neurosurgery.

Matías Baldoncini MD

Dr. Matías Baldoncini is a Neurosurgeon from the City of Buenos Aires. He currently works as a Neurosurgeon at the San Fernando Hospital and Director of the Microsurgical Neuroanatomy Laboratory at the University of Buenos Aires. He is a member of the International Academy of Neurosurgical Anatomy.

He completed his training in Neurosurgery at the Vicente López y Planes Hospital, University of Buenos Aires. He subsequently continued his training in Microneuroanatomy at the Hospital de la Beneficencia Portuguesa in São Paulo, under the direction of Prof. Evandro de Oliveira.

In addition, he completed his training in Skull Base at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital in the city of Boston, under the direction of Prof. Ossama Al-Mefty.
