Surgical Approaches
Anterior Clinoidectomy
Anterior clinoidectomy enhances access to carotid, clinoidal, and suprasellar aneurysms and lesions. It improves exposure of the intradural carotid segment, facilitating neurovascular management and reducing the need for retraction on the optic nerve and adjacent structures. This technique is performed extradurally for meningiomas and intradurally for aneurysms.
